Dr. Taylor is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has been practicing in Richmond, Virginia for over 15 years. She obtained her MA and Ph.D. from University of Montana and completed a predoctoral internship at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia Campus. Following the fellowship, she remained on staff as an Instructor with research and clinical responsibilities.
Dr. Taylor has an active clinical practice in which she provides psychotherapy and neuropsychological and educational testing services to adolescents and adults. She utilizes an integrated approach to psychotherapy, incorporating cognitive behavioral, family systems, and solution-focused perspectives. She enjoys working with individuals who are coping with life transitions and learning strategies to better manage anxiety, stress, and emotional distress. Populations served include individuals coping with anxiety, ADHD, emotional distress, learning disabilities, medical problems, and neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury and stroke. Dr. Taylor has given presentations at national and international conferences, published a number of articles and book chapters, and conducted workshops and classes on many topics, including stress management and mindfulness meditation.
