Lark Huang-Storms, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in diagnostic assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across the lifespan (18 months to adult). She provides differential diagnostic evaluations that determine whether autism and/or other clinical issues are present (such as anxiety, depression, or developmental delays). She also has a small therapy practice where she focuses on mental health and wellness with clients whose lives are affected by autism (including Asperger’s Syndrome). It can be very stressful to wait for an evaluation, so Dr. Huang-Storms makes every effort to schedule new clients quickly. She also offers virtual visits when this is the best option for her clients. Lark emphasizes an evidence-based approach that is individualized, meeting with clients over a few appointments to understand their goals, challenges and strengths. Alongside her private practice, Lark is a psychologist at Seattle Children’s Hospital and sees patients at the Autism Center and Center for Integrative Brain Research. She also directs Oregon Health & Science University’s Autism ACCESS program which provides statewide tele-health and consultation to pediatricians and educators. Over the past decade, Dr. Huang-Storms directed Autism Centers at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Oregon Health & Science University where she led teams in research, training and clinical care.
