Dr. Mannon specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adjustment difficulties, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders, anger management, behavioral issues, bereavement/grief, childhood trauma & abuse (sexual, physical, emotional & neglect), depression, learning disabilities, mood disorders, parenting education, parenting skills, parenting stress, post-traumatic stress disorder, and relationship issues. She has over 10 years of education, training, and experience in her areas of expertise. Dr. Mannon is trained in various theoretical orientations and treatment modalities, she primarily practices ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy). Dr. Mannon received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Texas. She went on to earn her Masters of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas. She also earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology at the University of North Texas. She completed her American Psychological Association (APA) accredited internship at Western Youth Services in Mission Viejo, CA. She then successfully completed a APA accredited post-doctoral fellowship with an emphasis in couples and family therapy at the Dallas VA hospital. She then began her career at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas before founding Compass Youth & Family Psychological Services. Dr. Mannon joined Cook Children's Psychology Clinic in Hurst in 2019.
