Dr. Kimberly Lovelock has been practicing in the state of PA as a licensed psychologist since 2017. She has been working in the behavioral health field for 20 years in a variety of levels of care, including research, crisis management and response, clinical leadership, and behavioral health insurance. She currently works with individuals ages 17 and older who may be experiencing a variety of stressors in their lives, including anxiety and depression, issues of transition/adjustment, health psychology, grief/loss, and trauma, to name a few. Dr. Lovelock also works with couples who are interested in finding more effective and connective patterns of communication to improve their relationship. She also provides psychological testing and evaluation.
Dr. Lovelock is formally trained in the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), while also drawing from other third-wave therapies in which she has received training, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In her work with couples, she draws from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method. She also draws from psychodynamic and attachment theories when providing interventions and planning for care.
