Kevin L. Rand received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kansas in 2006. He completed his clinical residency at Duke University Medical Center, where he specialized in cognitive-behavioral treatments of anxiety and depression. He is an associate professor in the Department of Psychology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), where he teaches and conducts research on personality, stress, and coping. Dr. Rand’s clinical work is informed by existential psychotherapy principles in conjunction with cognitive-behavioral techniques. He works with adults and adolescents in both individual and group formats. Dr. Rand is also interested in working with people coping with health-related issues, such as cancer and chronic pain.
