Pelts-Kirkhart and Associates is located in the garden district of New Orleans, LA. We are located on street car and bus lines and have car parking available. Our practice supports 4 psychologists (clinical, developmental, and school), 3 psychiatrists (adult and child/adolescent specialists), 2 social workers (specializing in DBT/Eating Disorders as well as life transitions), and an art therapist. If adjunctive care is needed it can often be found within this setting, as well. Although we do not accept insurance we will file for out of network benefits as a courtesy to our clients. In Dr. Kirkhart's clinical practice there is an emphasis on matching a client's goals and style of processing to an individualized plan of care and types of therapy approaches. In addition to those already noted, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is often used as an approach to making life changes. Dr. Kirkhart works with both individuals and couples.
