Dr. Katherine L. Muller is the founder and director of Valley Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a specialized psychotherapy practice offering expert cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety, depression, and other problems. Dr. Muller is licensed psychologist with nearly two decades of experience in the field of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Dr. Muller graduated with her Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology. She then completed two years of advanced training at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety, which included extensive specialized training in CBT for Posttraumatic Stress and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders. Before founding her practice, Dr. Muller served as the Director of Psychology Training at Montefiore Medical Center of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. As an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at this site, she established and directed the Cognitive Behavior Therapy Program. Dr. Muller has conducted training workshops on a number of topics including Exposure Therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Prolonged Exposure for Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression. She has also supervised students from a number of psychology graduate programs in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. Dr. Muller is board-certified in Cognitive Behavioral Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). She has authored a number of journal articles and book chapters and presented on topics such as Stress, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, and Obesity. In addition to her CBT practice, which offers cutting-edge research supported treatments for anxiety disorders, Dr. Muller is an adjunct professor at Northampton Community College.
