I have been in professional practice for 30 years. I work with adults who are challenged by life's multitude of stressors that lead to worry and anxiety and disruptions in mood and relationships. My goal is always to support positive, life affirming change that promotes psychological and physical wellbeing. I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and I have had great success using this approach with patients experiencing various life trauma including here in Newtown, CT in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. It is always a profound honor when someone entrusts me with their deepest collection of pain, grief, hurt, fear and trauma. I am also certified as a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) and enjoy working with individuals and couples to reduce the impact that substance use has on their personal lives and on their relationships.
