My specialty is interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive therapy, EMDR, Psycho-educational and social support for older adults and their families as they deal with growing older and the consequences of aging, including health and family issues. Although my experience ranges from adolescent on up but my passion is helping individuals adjust to retirement. My Life Coach training provides an active and supportive coaching experience for older adults as they deal with chronic health conditions and issues of change as we deal with work, family, and retirement. My Master's was in Vocational and Rehabilitation Counseling from Columbia University in 1975. My experience includes aging consultation for clinicians of all varieties and worked in Long Term Care as a supervising psychologist as well as assisted living, and home visits. My current practice includes working with professionals to help them learn about the nuances of Medicare and working with Aging Adults. Currently offering a course in helping people plan for and adjust to retirement called Designing Me Retirement where individuals develop their own Retirement Roadmap to explore retirment taking into account their values, goals, family, etc.
I have a coaching group mastermind for aging adults to enable people to begin to vision their next chapter.
