I am originally from Mauritius, an island off the east coast of Africa. I received my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology as well as a Masters in Counseling and Counselor Education and a Specialist in Education degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. Prior to this, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia. I completed my APA-accredited internship at The Ohio State University Counseling and Consultation Service. Before starting my current private practice in Bloomington, Indiana, I was the director of Counseling Services at DePauw University for four years. My professional interests include interpersonal/family of origin issues, multicultural/cross cultural issues, group therapy, training and supervision, career concerns, adjustment issues, crisis and trauma recovery, sexual assault, grief and loss, eating disorders, as well as working with women, athletes, and international students. I also enjoy performing psychological assessments and testing. Since I am bilingual in both French and English, I am happy to provide psychotherapy in both of these languages when requested.
