I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked for over 35 years as a psychotherapist. As a Chicana lesbian therapist, I have a feminist, intersectional, multicultural lens, understanding that how we identify can impact our worldview and our experiences in the world. I have experience working with the stress of life transitions, anxiety and depression, communication and relationship issues, coping with grief and loss, identity and sexual orientation, and issues related to trauma and abuse. My approach to my work is individualized, client-centered and strength-based, informed by psychodynamic principles and family therapy. Sessions are centered around what you bring to the session and treatment goals are similarly collaborative. I approach each session with respect and empathy, working with you to find a more meaningful and fulfilling life. My practice hours are weekday evenings. I generally can respond at least once per morning and once per evening, Monday through Friday, sometimes more! Please remember that teletherapy is not appropriate if you are in crisis or in immediate need of support. In crisis situations, please call 911 or local emergency services. You can also call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) to talk to someone right away! If you are ready to take the next step on that journey, I look forward to working with you.!
