I am currently the Senior Psychologist at Kent State University Health Services: I am on the management team helping to coordinate Psychological Services within the health center, while also providing direct clinical care (i.e., assessment, testing, therapy, crisis intervention) to Kent State University students. I also serve as an adjunct instructor on the graduate faculty through the Department of Psychological Services where I teach our doctoral Ethics & Professional Issues in Clinical Psychology course. Although a specialist in college mental health, I also am part of a large group practice, Western Reserve Psychological Associates, where I see a wide variety of clients of all ages and backgrounds. I enjoy working with a diverse population including couples who are experiencing relational issues and individuals coping with various life challenges and mental health concerns. I have training and experience in a broad range of therapeutic approaches and clinical interventions, and work collaboratively with clients to develop an approach that works best for them to reach their goals. In terms of training, I completed my undergraduate education at Northwestern University, my Master's and Doctorate at Kent State University, my clinical internship through Yale School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry, and a two year postdoctoral fellowship through Yale University Department of Mental Hygiene. Throughout my career, I have developed a number of specialty areas, but consider myself a generalist relying on empirically validated therapies and treatment approaches to achieve the best outcomes.
