Dr. Morris is a Clinical Psychologist specializing in anxiety, stress, and trauma. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of South Dakota, her pre-doctoral internship at the Bay Pines VA, and her postdoctoral fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center. She has also worked and trained at several VA Medical Centers. Dr. Morris specializes in the treatment of PTSD, anxiety disorders, and life transitions (work/life balance, parenting, relationship stressors). She has extensive training in trauma-focused interventions as well as mindfulness based and exposure-based treatments for anxiety and stress. She received national certifications in evidence-based therapies for PTSD including CPT and PE. Her primary interests include the prevention and treatment of anxiety and trauma related disorders, impact of trauma informed care practices across organizations, and facilitation of employee well-being and resiliency. She has special expertise working with healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, first responders, Veterans, and other individuals with high pressure careers (executives, business owners, etc). Dr. Morris has served as a member of several committees dedicated to equity throughout her career, including the Board of Directors of the Society of Clinical Psychology (Division 12 and Section 10) of APA, Division 12 Strategic Planning Committee, and on the Minnesota Psychological Association's Executive Committee. Dr. Morris also in a member of PSYPACT and able to provide telehealth services in 40 states. In addition to her extensive training and education, her style is often described genuine, compassionate, and down to earth. She's an action-oriented psychologist that very much values research and helping people reach their goals.
