I am a licensed psychologist in NY, Texas, and Wisconsin. In 2014, I received my PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Rehabilitation Psychology. Rehabilitation psychology focuses on maximizing health, in spite of mental or physical illness. I am also a former tenure-track faculty member and taught bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral-level students in counseling and health services studies in the Department of Rehabilitation and Health Services at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. For postdoctoral work, I completed a research and clinical fellowship in outpatient psychotherapy and mental health services at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. I also completed a mental health services research traineeship at Columbia University in New York, New York. With the desire to live closer to family, I returned home to Wisconsin during the COVID-19 era.
I specialize in supporting persons with general anxiety, social/relationship anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, chronic illness & disability, depression, bipolar disorders, ADHD, autism, trauma, psychosis, and work stress & burnout. My approach is based on science and effective for adults from diverse backgrounds & communities, including students, other therapists, health professionals, parents, and entrepreneurs. Since I used to work in academia, other high-achieving individuals often choose to work with me because I understand their world. Yet, what all my clients have in common is that they collaborate with me & commit to processing past stressful life events, reflecting on the present, and exploring new ways of living, adapting, and growing into the future.
