I believe that a trusting and genuine therapeutic relationship is the foundation for successful therapy and I value the the development of self-reflection, mindfulness, and intentionality. Although I treat a wide range of clinical concerns, my areas of specialty include trauma recovery, mood and anxiety concerns, life and role transitions, identity exploration, sexualilty and gender expression, improving relationships, increasing work/life balance, and coping without harm or substances. With a focus on creating a warm, inviting atmosphere where you will feel safe to explore, I will gently challenge you to see new perspectives and solutions. My style is direct, relational, and empowering for all kinds of individuals. My training and experience are rooted in Psychodynamic and Relational Theory, Cognitive Behavioral and Mindfulness-based modalities, as well as Feminist and Existential frameworks. I have developed a strong foundation in psychological assessment, individual and group psychotherapy, program development and evaluation, and the supervision and training of clinicians. My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including inpatient treatment, county, state, and federal jails and prisons, and outpatient clinics. I also teach graduate level courses on trauma, supervision, consultation, and professional practice. In my free time, I am passionate about engaging with my community, exploring in nature, the arts, live music, and connecting over great food.
