My interest in working in mental health began while in high schooI where there was a suicide every year. After graduation I started volunteering on our community suicide hotline while I began attending college. With my success there, I began training new volunteers. These experiences reinforced my desire to continue in this field. I continued to attend college and began working at the local hospital. I have had a variety of experiences over the years which have further cemented my commitment to working to help others live better lives. I work to provide competent confidential guidance and support to those in distress. I started my practice in 2002 in an effort to treat clients as individuals with value beyond the revenue they generate, which was an issue I had encountered repeatedly while working at other agencies. The staff I hire have specialized training which helps us ensure clients get the most competent services. Our goal is to teach skills to those in need so they no longer need us.
