My practice is located in Clear Lake City, TX near the entrance to NASA. I have expertise in individual and family work consistent with that population and have consulted with schools, community focus groups, and NASA. I see a significant number of gifted young people, Asperger clients, medical professionals, and aerospace families. Another specialty of mine is psychological assessment. Although my conceptualizations are rooted in dynamic theory, my therapeutic paradigms are matched to the issues. I do find that cognitive therapy is very broadly useful. My husband works at NASA. My four children attended the Clear Lake schools and have returned to the community. I have nine grandchildren. We have always practiced the tenets of a "sound mind in a sound body" and have participated in much of the athletic and artistic opportunities available in the community. Personally, I have enjoyed rollerblading and karate as well as trying musical theatre. My computer network is carefully monitored by my son who has cyber security expertise and I am alert to the issues inherent in online work. For example, to maintain confidentiality, some clients have sessions in their parked cars. I anticipate maintaining an online therapy and an in-person assessment practice for the near future as is appropriate on a case by case basis.
