I work collaboratively with clients on a variety of issues including depression and anxiety, relationship difficulties, anger and stress management, career development, alcohol and chemical dependency, and adjustment to life changes. In counseling individuals and couples, I employ both psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches. Since I work with colleagues in a variety of practice disciplines, if a referral is needed for medication or other special needs, referral options are readily available. I received my doctoral degree in both Social and Clinical Psychology from Georgia State University in Atlanta. My baccalaureate degree was completed at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I am a past President of the Georgia Psychological Association, and have been in private practice in the Atlanta area since 1990. Before entering private practice, I served as the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team Director of the Crisis Stabilization Service at the Georgia Mental Institute. I also provided family therapy for the Child and Adolescent Program at the Gwinnett County Mental Health Center. I am a Fellow of the Georgia Psychological Association and a Member of the American Psychological Association.
