There are times in life when we need help coping. We need better tools to help us navigate the stressors which surface as we go through life. We need help understanding our emotions and our reactions and how to work for positive change. We might have behaviors that are holding us back that we need assistance in addressing. Sometimes we feel stuck and unable to make and carry out the plans that would improve our situation. I want you to know that help is available and to encourage you to get the support you need to have the life you want. I aim to provide this help with understanding, professionalism, compassion, confidentiality, and hope. As a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience, I am trained to help people find relief from emotional pain to change negative/unwanted behaviors, to reach goals, and to improve communication and problem solving skills. I'm not tied to a specific therapeutic approach, preferring to tailor treatment to each individual's needs. Maya Angelou is attributed with saying, "Do the best you can until you know better. Than when you know better, do better." I love collaborating with people in therapy to help them learn to do and to feel better. I look forward to speaking with you!
