Dr. Hilda Magali Rivera Figueroa has a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico, Cayey Campus. In addition, she completed her Master of Business Administration degree at the Universidad del Turabo, Gurabo campus. Subsequently, she obtained a Master's degree in Psychology from the same institution, where she also completed a Doctoral Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Counseling Psychology (PsyD-APA Accredited). She is an active member of the American Psychological Association.
Hilda Magali has worked in the field of Violence Prevention for the last twenty years. She worked for the Support Program for Children and Adolescents Surviving Domestic Violence at Casa de la Bondad in the town of Humacao. Continuing with her professional career, was in charge of the development of the Violence Prevention Initiative in the Head Start Program of Aspira Inc. of Puerto Rico.
She provided psychological services to the elderly population through the Foundation for the Development and Training of Aguasbonenses, Inc. and worked as part of the interdisciplinary team of the Kidszone Development and Language Center in San Juan.
Continued her career development working as a Mental Health Consultant for the Head Start Program of the Municipality of San Juan. She served as Lead Psychologist in the "Hurricane Relief" Proposal in that municipality, in which she was in charge of training all Program personnel on the subject of Psychological First Aid in Natural Disasters. She was a part-time Lecturer at the Universidad del Turabo, Campus de Gurabo and Barceloneta.
Currently, she works for the Student Life Quality Office of Ana G. Méndez University, in Gurabo, where she offers psychological services to the student population and supervises interns of the Doctoral Program in Psychology (APA Accredited Program). She also works with crime survivors for Open Doors Program (S Army) and has private telehealth practice.
