Heidi A. Sauder, received her Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology with advanced studies and research, in collaboration with John M. Gottman, Ph.D., investigating the role of emotions and physiological response in marital interaction. Dr. Sauder maintains an interest in research and currently oversees studies for small corporations and is on a science board for a non-profit organization.
Dr. Sauder is a Colorado native and returned home in 2007 where she started a private practice. Clients are primarily couples who are seen in her Centennial office or for Intensives at the Avon location.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Sauder enjoys writing and lecturing. She co-authored a book, BodySense, A Woman's 5-Step Guide, assisting women in understanding their feelings and outlining strategies to make feelings helpful and productive.
She is also a Gottman Seven Principles and Bringing Baby Home Program Educator and is a Certified Gottman Method Couples Therapist. She welcomes the opportunity to assist couples in making their relationships stable and satisfying.
