Dr. Heinrich is licensed as a psychologist in Tennessee and Illinois. She has a passion for working with underrepresented populations. She works from a cognitive-behavioral point of view, which means that she sees thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and environment as all being connected. By making changes in any of those areas, it can make changes in the other areas. Dr. Heinrich is committed to working with each individual to identify the goals and outcomes that they will like to achieve and then collaborating to move toward those goals.
Dr. Heinrich has a special interest in psychological assessment. She sees the assessment process as a way to identify people's current level of functioning and then to assess the necessary steps to help them meet their highest potential. She sees it as being similar to detective work that ultimately helps to develop a plan of action for treatment.
When Dr. Heinrich is not at work, she can usually be found with her family. Her children's activities, from sports to drama to music, keep her very busy! She has a passion for rescuing animals and currently has two cats and two dogs.
