Gregory L. Garamoni, Ph.D. is a Florida Licensed Psychologist who has a well-established private practice ("Ponte Vedra Psychologists") that provides therapy, counseling, and testing services for children, adolescents, and adults. Founded in 1991, the practice serves Ponte Vedra Beach and the neighboring communities of Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville, Orange Park, Nocatee, Palm Valley, and St. Augustine.
Specialties include marriage counseling (couples therapy); sex therapy; cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for stress, depression, anxiety, and anger; grief counseling; and gifted IQ assessments.
Dr. Garamoni is an exceptionally well-trained and highly experienced clinical psychologist. He received doctoral and postdoctoral training at one of the world's top universities in psychology and psychiatry (the University of Pittsburgh has been ranked "World's Best" in the field by US News & World Report).
Dr. Garamoni's practice of clinical psychology is informed by his contributions to the science of clinical psychology. At the University of Pittsburg School of Medicine, he managed a three-year study of the effects of depression on sleep and sexual functioning in men treated with cognitive therapy. (He was also a certified cognitive therapist on this project.) He has authored peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals on depression, anxiety, stress, sexual disorders, assessment, and cognitive therapy. He has taught undergraduate and graduate psychology courses. And he has delivered presentations to national, state, and local organizations.
Dr. Garamoni also has extensive experience in the corporate world. He held progressively more responsible professional and executive positions in three major corporations (Citibank, GTE, and PepsiCo). As PepsiCo International's Personnel Director – Middle East & Africa (based in Athens, Greece), he counseled employees from America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
