My name is Grace Kimmerling. I got my Master's degree and PhD at Ball State University and am a licensed Psychologist. I see therapy as a partnership between myself and the client. You are the expert on your own life and how you want things to be, and I'm the expert on how we can get you from point A to point B. In therapy, it is very important to me that the relationship feels safe, genuine, and helpful. I work from a variety of schools of thought, but mainly see things through an attachment point of view. This means that I highly value not only our relationship, but the other relationships in your life and how you've learned to connect (or not connect) with others. I have specialized training in Emotion Focused Therapy, which helps us to explore the messages that your thoughts and emotions are trying to communicate to you. My areas of focus include: couples counseling, parenting children with special needs, interpersonal problems, depression, anxiety, and trauma.
