Since completing my Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a clinical
internship at Rush- Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, I served as
President/Clinic Director of Health Psychology Associates for over twenty years. I joined Cornerstone Counseling Services in 2015. My prior training afforded me opportunities to coordinate and practice in St. Luke's Medical Center’s Sleep Disorders Clinic, while consulting with various other hospital departments (cardiac, oncology, pulmonary and physical medicine and rehabilitation).
My approach to psychotherapy is eclectic, tailoring therapy to the individual needs of my patients. By design, my orientation is largely cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic
with an emphasis on brief interventions. I work from the strengths of my patients, encouraging their positive growth and change.
Included among my strengths are: individual, marital and family therapy. Treatment specialties include: anxiety; depression; OCD; chronic illness; women's issues; stress and anger management; sleep disorders; and psycho-oncology.
I’m listed in the National Register of Health Service Psychologists, and
have served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry for the University of
Wisconsin-Madison Medical School.
