Gary G. Kay, PhD, is the former Director of Neuropsychology and Associate Professor of Neurology at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He is the President and Chief Scientific Officer of Cognitive Research Corporation. He is the author and publisher of the CogScreen test battery. Dr. Kay received his PhD in psychology from Memphis State University, Clinical Neuropsychology Specialty Program. He completed his clinical psychology internship at the Naval Hospital, Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Kay is a diplomate of the American Board of Assessment Psychology and the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology. He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
Dr. Kay's clinical practice focuses on aviation neuropsychology and forensic neuropsychology, In addiiton, to his clinical practice, Dr. Kay teaches and conducts research on the effects of medications on brain functioning. He is a senior neuropsychology consultant to the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and also serves as a consultant to airline medical departments, military medical organizations, other governmental agencies and to the pharmaceutical industry. He is the co-editor of the book, Aeromedical Psychology, has published book chapters and over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles.
