Dr. Elsie Mak is a trilingual neuropsychologist & licensed psychologist in the Bay Area, fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Neuropsychology. She completed her training at VA Palo Alto Healthcare System, the Laguna Honda Rehabilitation Hospital, Cincinnati VA Medical Center, and Kaiser Permanente. Work history includes conducting autism (ASD) evaluations and supervising role at Kaiser Permanente San Jose ASD Center. She was also a staff neuropsychologist at Children’s Health Council, at the Pacific Coast Psychology Group, the San Andreas Regional Center, the Gifted Support Center, and at RAMS. She is currently a staff psychologist at the Golden Regional Center, a vendor neuropsychologist for Kaiser Permanente, and Emerging Milestones. Dr. Mak also has a private practice in Saratoga, California, providing neuropsychological evaluations, psychotherapy, and psychological consultations for adults and children. She also has a specialty in autism evaluations. Dr. Mak also has a M.S. degree in Computer Science and a B.A. degree in Computer Science and Mathematics, and she was previously a software engineer before pursuing her passion for neuropsychology. At leisure, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her teenaged children, as well as traveling, cooking, and piano playing.
