He is also the former Director and Attending Psychologist at Camillus Health Concern Homeless Clinic, former Adjunct Professor in Counseling Psychology at the University of Miami, Coral Gables Campus, and former supervising analyst at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Gonzalez completed his undergraduate degree at Berry College in Rome, Georgia, and his doctoral degree in Psychology at Nova Southeastern University in 1985. He completed his clinical internship training at Yale University School of Medicine, and a two-year Postdoctoral Residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Gonzalez also completed a four-year training program in Psychoanalysis at Nova Southeastern University in 1993, and a two-year Postdoctoral Master’s degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology, also at Nova Southeastern University. In addition to his former clinical responsibilities, Dr. Gonzalez supervised practicum students, interns, postdoctoral fellows, and psychiatric residents, and coordinated and taught the Psychopharmacology Seminar and the Clinical Ethics Rounds in the JMH Psychology Internship program. Dr. Gonzalez specializes in individual psychotherapy.
