Donna R. Marks, Psy.D., R.N. is a Licensed Psychologist/ Certified Health Services Provider and a Registered Nurse. She received a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a Health Psychology Minor from Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Chicago, and completed additional doctoral level course work in applied neuropsychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. During her training and career she has worked with individuals with diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds ranging in age from childhood to late adulthood who were seeking treatment for a variety of mental heath conditions and concerns. In addition to providing nursing care to individuals with acute mental health disorders in inpatient hospital settings, she has provided counseling services for veterans at a dual diagnosis unit at the Hines VA Hospital. After completing her doctoral education, Dr. Marks completed training at an American Psychological Association accredited internship at Tewksbury Hospital (MA Department of Public Health and Department of Mental Health inpatient units) with specialty training in Heath Psychology and Addictions. She then completed post-doctoral fellowships at the Neurodevelopmental Center at Mass General for Children at North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) and at the inpatient neurology units at Tewksbury Hospital. Dr. Marks maintained professional privileges as a clinical neuropsychologist at NSMC and provided evaluation services and case management at the Multidisciplinary Evaluation Center (MDEC) from 2003 to 2015. She has owned and directed a private practice since 2007. Dr. Marks has particular interests in scientifically grounded, evidence based neuropsychological and psychological evaluation, health psychology / behavioral medicine, general stress reduction, and methods that support health promoting life style changes. She currently provides evaluation, consultation, and psychotherapy services.
