Dr. Spangler is a clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience working in both clinical and academic settings. Dr. Spangler served as a professor of psychology for 15 years where she trained doctoral students in clinical psychology, and conducted research on the causes and treatments of anxiety, depressive and eating disorders. Dr. Spangler has authored over 60 publications and has received numerous awards for her collective work from the National Institute of Health, the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, the Beck Institute, the International Association for Cognitive Therapy, and the National Association of Professional Women. Her current clinical specialities include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, TEAM therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders (including GAD, panic, social anxiety, health anxiety, PTSD, OCD and phobias), depression, eating disorders and sleep disorders.
