For more than a decade, Dr. Denise Bike has conducted individual therapy with adults and assessment with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital, Boone Hospital’s Intensive Outpatient CBT Program, the Counseling Centers at Mizzou and Ball State, and the Assessment and Consultation Clinic. Dr. Bike specializes in treating adults with anxiety disorders, early trauma, and ADHD using somatic-based methods such as EMDR, DBR, and IFS to address the issues underlying symptoms and patterns interfering with your life. This can be particularly effective for patients who also experience chronic pain--a common issue for people who experienced early trauma.
Dr. Bike's scholarly works appear in The Journal of Clinical Psychology, The Journal of Black Psychology, Psychotherapy, The APA Handbook, and The SAGE Handbook of Multicultural Counseling, among others.
