Dr. David Tolin is the Founder and Director of the Anxiety Disorders Center at The Institute of Living, and an Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. He is Past-President of the clinical psychology division of the American Psychological Association, and President-Elect of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. An expert in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Dr. Tolin is the author of over 200 scientific journal articles and numerous books, including "Doing CBT," "Face Your Fears," and "Buried in Treasures." His area of expertise includes anxiety disorders (e.g., panic attacks, generalized anxiety), mood disorders (e.g., depression), and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders (e.g., OCD, hoarding, trichotillomania). Dr. Tolin is the recipient of the awards for Distinguished Contribution to the Practice of Psychology, Distinguished Contribution to the Science of Psychology, and Lifetime Contribution to Psychology from the Connecticut Psychological Association. Dr. Tolin has been featured on the television series "Hoarders" and "The OCD Project," and has been a recurring guest on "The Dr. Oz Show" and "The Oprah Winfrey Show."
