I am a Yale-trained and licensed clinical psychologist with 25 years’ experience in providing therapies for persons navigating relief from anxieties, depressions, and other difficulties. I have also worked for nearly 20 years as a faculty member at the Yale Psychiatry Department, researching the roles of empathy, understanding, and acceptance within therapeutic relationships, and their power to advance recovery from distress and dormancy.
My focus as a therapist is always on the person—as opposed to a particular theory or technique—and I will work with you to tailor treatment to the realities of your life, your circumstances. I offer general adult psychotherapy, with a specialty in adaptation for those living with chronic illness, as well as adaptations for their caregivers and loved ones.
I welcome your call.
