I was born and raised in upper Michigan (Houghton, in da UP). I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology and social psychology at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo in 2009. I then studied at Wayne State University in Detroit where I obtained my master's in counseling psychology in 2011 and my PhD in educational psychology in 2016. I worked at Community Healing Centers in Kalamazoo for about four years before going into private practice with Jessica Kerby. I use a combination of mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, and internal family systems therapy.
