I recognize that the process of trying to find the right fit in a therapist is no easy feat, so I wanted to outline some of the areas in which I have advanced training and experience: 1)Relationship Distress: Since I see individuals, couples, and families, a large portion of my practice focuses on relationship satisfaction. My experience has taught me that trust and a willingness to share genuine emotions are essential to sustain any connection. But sometimes that trust is broken, feelings are hurt, or anxiety keeps you from telling someone how you feel, so it helps to have someone on your side to guide you as you try to repair those connections. 2)Anxiety: If you feel paralyzed by fears about failure, rejection, abandonment, or inadequacy, I can help. Together, we will work to better understand not only what drives those negative thoughts, but also how to overcome them. 3)Depression: By creating a safe and nonjudgmental space in my office, I strive to help clients break through the shame and discomfort that often comes from speaking about sadness in order to help them find hope, belonging, and renewed purpose in life. 4)Grief: We have all lost something or someone that we care about. Whether it's the death of a loved one, a break up with a partner, a serious illness/injury, or a career that was cut short, there are ways to help you move on more easily. 5)Trauma: Whether you've been a victim of a violent crime, sexual assault, car accident, natural disaster, or combat exposure, the one commonality is that the pain does not stop when the event is over.
