I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice who specializes in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Perfectionism, Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder, and Anxiety Disorders. I have specific expertise in and a passion for treating the Purely Obsessional (Pure-O) subtypes of OCD. I received extensive training from an internationally-renowned expert on Pure-O and OCD and gained significant experience using Exposure and Response Prevention to treat traditional OCD, anxiety disorders, and Pure-O in both national and international populations. I also utilize Cognitive-Behavioral treatments to address anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, emotional dysregulation, trauma, assertiveness, and parenting issues. I completed comprehensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, a mindfulness-based CBT treatment that is comprised of empirically supported skills to enhance emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. I also have training in Behavioral Activation and certification in Parent Management Training from the Yale Parenting Center. I take a goal-oriented collaborative approach to therapy that is focused on addressing a client’s present concerns. I strive to create a warm, open, nonjudgmental, and trusting relationship to build a safe space that encourages growth and exploration at the pace of each client. People don’t fit neatly into categories. I work with clients to build creative, individualized treatment plans that not only utilize research-based treatment methods, but also take into account a client’s unique needs, circumstances, culture, and values. I focus on promoting factors that improve mental health, including diet, physical health, and sleep, and I’m adept at helping clients troubleshoot challenges and obstacles to their recovery. My hope as a clinician is to give my clients the skills and tools necessary to independently live a more balanced, satisfying, and meaningful life
