Dr. Connie completed her MA and PhD degrees from Texas Woman's University. She holds two licenses: Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. She has worked in clinical (psychiatric hospital, nursing home, and residential addiction treatment) and non-clinical (university counseling, outpatient, and Health & Wellness) settings. She trained specifically in trauma and addiction, which led to her previous position as Director of Trauma for Colin Ross Institute for Psychological Trauma at University Behavioral Health in Denton, Texas. Her primary focus includes dissociative disorders, PTSD, and addiction issues. Her experience consists of the following areas: mood, anxiety, personality, self-injury, suicidal ideation/attempts, grief, relationship, divorce, gender, diversity, and men's/women's issues. She treats adolescents and adults. She provides individual, family, couple, and group therapies. Also, she provides supervision, presentations, consultations, information, and referrals. Additionally, she served in the Presidential roles for Collin County Psychological Association from 2018-2021. She treats clients with a holistic and biopsychosocial approach.
