I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with more than twenty-five years of experience, training, and expertise in working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of clinical settings. I graduated from Wesleyan University and completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hartford. I am currently in Private Practice in Guilford, Ct. I was a part-time Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine. Particular areas of interest for me include working with individuals with such difficulties as mood and anxiety disorders, acute and chronic stress, behavioral problems, high functioning autism, social and interpersonal challenges, children’s problems, and parenting issues. While providing a safe and compassionate space, I will partner with you on your unique journey to identify the challenges in your life, learn more effective ways of coping, and move toward realizing your goals. My mantra diaIectic is accepting people exactly the way they are now (and have them accept themselves), while concurrently encouraging them to explore and practice different, more successful ways of living. I believe that individuals have the capacity to use their unique talents and strengths to overcome different obstacles and, with support, are able to live their lives to their fullest potential. I love my work because I see that the changes people make in their lives make a real and positive difference.
