Dr. Gorman received her clinical training at Fairfax Hospital in Kirkland, WA where she provided counseling, assessment, and psycho-education services for both adult and adolescent inpatient and intensive outpatient programs. She also trained at Northshore Youth and Family Services where she counseled children, teens, adults, couples, and families through various mental health and life challenges. Dr. Gorman takes a holistic approach to therapy that supports the uniqueness and intersectionality of each human being. She see’s the world through a trauma lens and appreciates the past hurts that shape people. Dr. Gorman believe’s in using natural strengths as tools to supplement the therapeutic process. She aims to provide a space where people feel heard, supported, and empowered to learn new skills (i.e. CBT, DBT, TF-CBT) to help during life’s tougher times. She enjoys the process of getting to know patients and honoring their unique timeline. Dr. Gorman also believes our closest relationships play an enormous role in our satisfaction and invite patients to reflect on their experiences and current relationships. Therapy is a powerful form of self-care. Dr. Gorman strives to provide a safe experience for LGBTQ+, religious, and spiritual persons.
