I strive to provide a compassionate, safe, caring, and nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself, express your emotions and thoughts, and feel heard. We live in uncertain, unpredictable times and the need for self-care and connection is greater than before. Know that whatever you are feeling is normal and you are not alone. Remember too that existential crises can also be opportunities for growth. I am here to help you navigate our new reality with compassion, healing, and understanding. Trauma and loss are part of the human condition, and issues that I have helped many clients work through during my years as a psychologist. In addition to trauma & grief, I also specialize in the treatment of bipolar disorder and depression. My past clinical research and dissertation focused on them. Additionally, I am passionate about the transgender community and have provided over 1200 hours of individual & group therapy for gender dysphoria. I also write letters for gender affirming care. My therapeutic style integrates various methods, is client-centered and takes a biopsychosocial approach. I can help you gain self-awareness and insight and develop self-compassion. We will try to change maladaptive patterns, heal underlying causes and take new perspectives. I teach healthier coping to deal with symptoms while also addressing root problems.
