I received my doctoral degree in 2012 from Washington State University in Pullman, WA. I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Idaho and Wisconsin. I previously worked as a hospital psychologist at St. Luke’s Clinic, Behavioral Health Services (Twin Falls) and at Portneuf Medical Center (Pocatello) Idaho. In both hospitals, I was a member of a multi-disciplinary outpatient behavioral health clinic. We provided a range of services to aid with recovery including individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatric consultation, and medication management. In my private practice, I provide psychological service to young adults and adults presenting with needs including behavioral treatments for pain management, headaches, sleep disorders, eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia, brain injury, memory, and PTSD. I frequently complete comprehensive evaluations in order to aid in the diagnostic clarification of psychological disorders. I use data from psychological and/or brief neuropsychological instruments, IQ instruments, personality testing, self-report measures, rating scales, direct observations, and clinical interview to complete my reports. I also have experience conducting psychological pre-surgical evaluations (i.e. for bariatric procedures or spinal cord stimulator placement). I have been the past President of the Society of Psychological Hypnosis (D30) of the American Psychological Association, Co-Editor of FOCUS (a publication of the Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis) and Managing Editor of the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis. I have published over 17 refereed journal articles, presented research papers, and co-led clinical hypnosis workshops world-wide.  I have received recognition for my research including the Ernest R. Hilgard Best Graduate Thesis Award from the American Psychological Association (APA) and Early Career Achievement awards from the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis and APA.
