I was born and raised in Wisconsin. I attended high school in Elkhorn and went on to UW-Madison. I then moved away to finish my education at Ohio State but remained a loyal Badger and Packer fan! After living in multiple states, I am so happy to be back. There is no place I'd rather live and raise a family. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, gardening, cooking, running, and exploring Wisconsin's hiking trails. I have always loved working with children, and they bring joy to my life. I feel grateful each day that I get to see their excitement, help them learn and grow, and listen to stories about their antics! My passion is for helping families. I know all too well that being a parent isn't easy and sometimes neither is being a child or teenager. I work with youth and their families to help improve their well being so that they can thrive at home, at school, and with friends. I feel honored to get to help families through some of their toughest times. I have specialized training in working with youth on the Autism Spectrum and work to understand their unique perspectives. I specialize in Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This was my research area in graduate school, and I've worked with hundreds of children with ADHD. I enjoy their exuberance and helping to find strategies so they can thrive. I am passionate about suicide prevention and am a leader in local volunteer organizations with the goal of preventing suicide in Walworth County. I am trained in the best available assessment and treatment for suicide. I have experience treating obsessive-compulsive disorders including OCD and Trichotillomania. I am committed to evidence-based practice meaning I use treatments with research to show they work and modify them to fit each individual's unique needs. Some of the evidence-based treatments I use are Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, Behavioral Parent Training, and Habit Reversal Training.
