During the past decade, I have accrued a variety of experiences to build my expertise in treating different presenting issues and using different therapy techniques. My experiences have included working in residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs treating anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, and substance use / alcohol use disorders. I have designed and implemented treatment programs and group therapies based on evidence based practices and have maintained leadership roles within organizations, providing training and supervision to staff around the treatment of eating disorders. My approach to therapy is collaborative, direct, and goal focused. As a therapist, I believe it is my role Is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment to help you make the changes that you want in your life in order to feel more fulfilled and satisfied. In treatment we can focus on the areas of your life that you find challenging or problematic, or we can focus on helping you achieve greater overall life satisfaction. During our time together, we will work to get a better understanding of patterns in your life and make changes in these patterns. I use a variety of treatment approaches and techniques, Including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), exposure response prevention (ERP), and self-compassion. The approach used in our sessions depends on your motivation to make change, your goals, and what is most effective for you.
