I am a child, adolescent, and family psychologist. I am Past-President of the Virginia Academy of Clinical Psychologists and was then the Federal Advocacy Coordinator for Virginia’s clinical psychologists for 18 years. In my 30+ years of practice and association work, I have noted the common target of our intervention efforts: RESILIENCE - that ability to tolerate challenge and adversity, however it looks, with strength and purpose to an end that works! That quality - entailing courage, mindfulness to this moment on the path, and flexibility to deal with unexpected answers and the need to shift gears - seems to be a critical challenge for the folk entering my safe space - whether 2, 19 or 40 years old. I offer individual/family therapy from toddler-hood to adult. I am a mental health representative to the Collaborative Divorce process, a non-litigated process that fosters your growth in communication and decision-making skills while you thoughtfully separate into a family in two homes. I also offer consultation for successful coparenting after divorce. These ALL build resilience! My practice: I am out-of-network for most insurance companies. Clients pay my fee at time of service and I provide a "Superbill" to assist with insurance reimbursement. Services are available in-person and via telehealth
