Cassidy Liland, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Alabama. Dr. Liland received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She completed a two-year APA approved clinical internship, one year with the Women’s Psycho-Oncology Service at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas and her last year with the Consult-Liaison Psychiatry Service at Parkland Memorial Hospital. Dr. Liland completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Women’s Health Psychology at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. During her fellowship she received specialized training in treating women. Her specialized training included perinatal mood disorders, perinatal loss as well as women coping with medical issues such as high-risk pregnancy and infertility, gynecologic issues such as PCOS, PMDD and chronic pelvic pain. She also has worked extensively with breast and gynecological cancer patients and survivors. Dr. Liland is a certified Infant Mental Health Specialist endorsed by the program First3Years. Her training gives her the expertise to work with mothers and infants to ensure secure attachment and emotional well-being. She also has advanced training in Maternal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. Dr. Liland has a true passion for working with women. Dr. Liland places great emphasis on the importance of the therapeutic relationship. She works to foster a safe and non-judgmental environment where her clients can feel understood. She treats her clients as individuals based on the uniqueness of their experiences. Dr. Liland is a published author on psychological distress among cancer patients.
