I am an independent practitioner in Taos, New Mexico where I have resided since 2001, having left Virginia to enjoy the outdoor beauty of the Land of Enchantment. I have a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an EdD from William and Mary. I hold endorsement by the New Mexico Association for Infant Mental Health as an Infant Mental Health Specialist addressing the socioemotional and mental health needs and development of children birth to three years of age. In my community I am active as a member of Paso a Paso, a network of individuals and organizations service families with children prenatal to eight years of age. I am Coordinator of the Taos County Imagination Library, an affiliate of the Dolly Parton program that mails free books to children from birth to age five. I also serve as a board member of TENT, Taos Elders and Neighbors Together, that provides services to members in support of their well being as they age at home. My professional experience includes independent clinical practice with people across the lifespan, education and training, career development, government consultation, and program development. I have worked in state and local human services, community mental health and family court programs. I have trained extensively in early childhood mental health and play therapy, Ericksonian hypnotherapy, and trauma treatment. My special interests include family relationships, infant and early childhood mental health, living with injury or illness, and the mind-body connection in healing.
