Dr. Caroline Ibrahim is the owner/founder of Dulles Psychological Services. Dr. Ibrahim provides psychotherapy to adults, children, and families. She also conducts psychological assessments and is available for consultations. Dr. Ibrahim is licensed as a clinical psychologist by the state of Virginia. Dr. Ibrahim received her B.S. in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Old Dominion University and her doctorate (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University. Dr. Ibrahim has trained and worked in various clinical settings and prides herself in being a generalist with clinical interests in: multicultural and minority issues (including immigration/acculturation stress); family conflict; grief and loss; interpersonal and relationship difficulties; adjustment issues; emotion regulation; self-esteem and identity issues; and developmental issues. Dr. Ibrahim’s approach to psychotherapy is one that is described as relational and integrative. Her approach is informed by empirical research on attachment, cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and family therapy.
