I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in work with children, adolescents, and families. Prior to becoming a therapist, I was a special education teacher, working with children and adolescents with emotional problems. I particularly enjoy working with adolescents and young adults, and have successfully helped clients navigate difficulties with depression, anxiety, emotional ups and downs, relationship issues, and behavioral problems. I believe in short-term psychotherapy. Working collaboratively with you, we will arrive at a set of goals you wish to accomplish in our work. I use cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and other empirically supported treatments to help you reach your goals. I have full time employment as a full, tenured Professor at Eastern Michigan University. In my work there, I supervise students in training in therapy and cognitive assessments.
