Dr. Giacomoni understands that there are times when life is stressful, relationships become strained, or work feels overwhelming. Likewise some people experience ongoing distress from a traumatic event, difficulty making or keeping friends, or unresolved issues from childhood. Other people simply feel stuck in their lives, unsure of what to do or where they are going. During these times it is understandable to feel sad, worried, frustrated, even jealous or angry. For these reasons, many people take the step to seek out individual therapy. In therapy, Dr. Giacomoni uses a combination of psychodynamic and cognitive therapy to work with adults struggling with a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, and relational issues. Dr. Giacomoni is board certified in clinical psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. He is a graduate of the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and a member of the American Psychological Association and the American Association of Clinical Psychology.
