I earned my doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon in 1998 and earned my licensure as a psychologist in the State of Oregon in 1999. My primary areas of specialization are fertility challenges, alternative family building, pregnancy loss, and Post-Partum Mood/Anxiety Disorders. I also enjoy helping people navigate other issues, including life transitions, stress management, anxiety and depression, and grief/loss. I have a warm, direct, and genuine interpersonal style, and my approach can best be described as a blend of mindfulness-based compassion for self and others and pragmatic problem-solving. I operate from a strengths-based and relational perspective, challenging clients to draw upon both inner resources and outside supports, with the goal of helping them move through challenging times with greater ease and joy. A native of the Pacific Northwest, in my spare time I enjoy hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, gardening, and spending time with friends and family, including my two dogs.
